Our support goal is determined by Africa Inland Mission based on the cost of living where you are going (a gallon of gas is $6 for example), family size and ages, and other factors. It also cover’s the salaries for Kristy and myself, administration costs for our sending region and the international office, ministry expenses, travel, home assignments, benefits, taxes, retirement, and etc.. Mission’s in Africa (and most developing countries) is an expensive endeavor, imagine getting supplies you need to places with out the roads, trains and other systems of delivery we have in America. Schooling for children, is on your own, as well as many other things we take for granted. We believe it’s a worthwhile endeavor however, infinitely worthwhile. The hundreds of missionaries who have gone over the past 115 years with AIM have left a foundation we are humbled to be apart of, that has born the fruit of establishing one of the largest denominations in Africa and for million’s to come to faith in Christ, and continues to reach some of the most unreached peoples on the earth.
