We believe this is what Jesus has called us to. He has given us passion, opportunity, gifts, and the needs we can meet are clear.
For us, the drumbeat of our lives has been how can we not go? While we passionately believe God’s ‘mission’ is for every believer and we are all to live as intentional disciples of the Lord, sent in workplaces, neighborhoods and friendships as missionaries. We see a long line of people behind us here doing what we are doing in Philadelphia (where we live in the inner city), and a desperate need for the ministry experience, mentoring and theological education in Africa, that we take for granted here. Both me and my wife have both experienced coming alive and a ministry effectiveness cross culturally and we want to live our lives the way he wired us to thrive. We don’t see this as a sacrifice or a burden, but one of the most soul satisfying blessings God has given us.
Below is a video which tells the story of the need for disciple makers in Central Africa, a need we are happy to try and meet with the rest of our lives.
